OnePlus 13 Unboxing: First Look at India's Most Anticipated Flagship
The OnePlus 13 has finally arrived in India, and we wasted no time getting our hands on the Midnight Ocean variant. OnePlus continues its tradition of clean, premium packaging — and the 13 doesn't disappoint from the moment you pick up the box.
What's in the Box?
OnePlus still bundles everything you actually need — a refreshing contrast to brands that charge separately for accessories. Here's what you'll find inside:
- OnePlus 13 smartphone (pre-applied screen protector)
- 100W SUPERVOOC charging adapter — yes, a full brick, in the box
- USB-C to USB-C cable (supports 100W)
- Protective silicone case (clear, slim-fit)
- SIM ejector tool
- Quick start guide and regulatory documentation
It's a well-rounded package. The inclusion of a 100W charger out of the box is a big deal in 2025 when many flagship brands have stripped chargers from retail packages.
Build & Design — First Impressions
Picking up the OnePlus 13, the first thing you notice is the Hasselblad camera module — it's bold, circular, and commands attention. The rear glass curves elegantly into the aluminium frame, and at 210 grams, it feels substantial without being unwieldy.
The Midnight Ocean finish has a subtle texture that resists fingerprints far better than typical glossy glass backs. The power button has a satisfying tactile click, and the iconic Alert Slider makes a welcome return — a feature die-hard OnePlus fans have been demanding.
Display — A Visual Treat Right Out of the Gate
Powering on the OnePlus 13 for the first time reveals a strikingly vibrant 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel. Even at default calibration, colours pop. The 2K resolution makes text razor-sharp, and the 120Hz adaptive refresh rate is immediately noticeable when scrolling.
In-Hand Feel & Ergonomics
Despite the large screen size, OnePlus has done a commendable job with ergonomics. The curved sides help with grip, and one-handed use — while not perfect — is manageable for most tasks. The bottom-firing speaker grille and top secondary microphone are well-placed.
Software Out of the Box
The device boots into OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. Setup is quick, and the interface feels polished and fast. OnePlus has kept bloatware to a minimum — a hallmark of the OxygenOS experience.
